Roger Santodomingo – Co-founder and CEO of CITIZENZ has been a fellow at The George Washington University and worked as an IDB consultant specializing in blockchain technologies and their applications to communication and democracy. Roger is an LSE technologist and political scientist with vast international experience as author, journalist, film, and television producer. He leads the VIDA Initiative a coalition of civil society and government organizations to grant Digital ID and a humanitarian services to Venezuelan migrants and refugees.
Dr. Liang will showcase and demonstrate the cloud data provenance security implementation assured by blockchain technology. The platform security enhanced the tamper-resistance feature in a collaborative cloud environment, removing the need of a trusted central authority.
This showcase will demonstrate the application of blockchain technology to manage and report on funds used for child welfare in various states. While the majority of these funds come from Federal grants, funds also come from state sources. This increases the complexity of the reporting and compliance requirements, which is typically borne by social workers. Blockchain technology removes the laborious, time consuming, and cumbersome aspects, significantly reducing administrative time and costs.
